Our approach

We begin with the physical world. We capture it, understand it and transform it back into matter. This is where technology, printing, art and research intersect.

Monochrome bas-relief artwork from the ANAMORPHIA collection

The new GLAB art collectionANAMORPHIA

Colour reveals the artwork. We ask light to do it. A new monochrome topography, designed so relief, shadow and light make the image emerge. Matter remains still. Perception does not.

More than a copy

Art Clones

From a distance it is an image. Up close it is matter.

An artwork is colour, but also brushstrokes, depth, craquelure, irregularities and traces of time. We capture and process this information to restore both its chromatic and material character.

MATERIAL & SURFACE SCANNING

We do not scan the object. We scan what it is made of.

After scanning, METIS software generates the maps required to digitally recreate the appearance and behaviour of the surface: colour, relief, gloss, transparency and reflections.

Since 2007, in Correggio

We started with fifty square metres and one printer.

Today, 240 square metres have once again become too small. Between those two points lie the work, the choices, the technologies adopted and every request that made us ask what else might be possible.
